Better yet, move this code into a DBIc component. Then just include that component in any object that needs it. This worked great for me when dealing with ‘Storable’ data structures (auto-freezes and -thaws) and auto-updating modify-time columns.

After a few months with Git, I can’t live without these features either!

Also being able to synchronize with multiple repositories at once. You can’t always give other people write access to your repository, but they can synchronize with yours and you can synchronize with theirs.
